A genuine pub in one of the wealthiest
areas of London. This pub has a quite
relaxing atmosphere with no music, just talk. It serves some of the best Fullers in London
(if not the best). One time we were here we were first in and they were putting
the beers through the lines, so the barman went down to the cellar to pour our
pints straight from the barrel. The beer was excellent. This is a great pub with great beer. London
Pride was a reasonable (for Belgravia) £3.50 a pint, was £2.95 in September
2009.
John 10/10 visit Feb 2012
A very 'yuppy' pub, but a very good
atmosphere nonetheless! Very attractive china plates and mirrors on walls-yet a
little 'bleak' in décor. Yet still manages a friendly comfortable feeling,
despite being a small pub.
Sue 8.5/10 visit March 1993
Great pub in mega-rich area. Our last
visit rewarded us with London Pride served straight from the barrel. Nice
seating area to the left and seating around the bar as well. Nice mirrors and
décor make this a pub definitely worth a visit.
Stuart 9/10 visit Nov 2000
Still serving a great
pint of London Pride, which was £4.04 a pint.
John 10/10 visit April
2015
One of my favourite pubs in London. A good pint of London Pride at £4.25
in a pub of character. The pub is dog friendly, with a least 4 dogs in the pub.
The pub has a pooch of the month competition with a free drink for the owner.

Worth
a try
Horse and
Groom, 7 Groom Place, London SW1X 7BA. Well-hidden Shepherd Neane mews pub. Small
pub which can get busy, but does have a drinking area upstairs. Closed at the
weekends.
Nags
Head, 53 Kinnerton Street, SW1X 8ED. This is a lovely time-warp pub, but even by Belgravia standards, the
beer is expensive. A pint of Adnams Bitter was £5, my
visit in April 2015 it was £4.50. The nearby Star Tavern is selling London
Pride for £4.25. Which is why it is in the ‘worth a try’ section. Worth
visiting just the once! Visit July 2017

Formerly the Pimlico Tram, this pub reopened in August 2009 with a new
name and a good range of beers. Décor is now gastro pub, but no one is eating
and there are no knives and forks on the table. Walls are painted light green
with mirrors. There are wooden benches
along the walls with cushions. The 5 real ales at the bar are not standard
beers for London, so there is something different here for beer tickers! All
the real ales are priced at £3.40 to £3.90 based on gravity. As well as a good
range of German and Belgian bottled beers, there are no mainstream lagers here.
Friendly staff will help you find your overseas bottled beer. Magic Rock High
Wire was £3.90 a pint
John 9/10 visit Sept 2012
Look at the beer menu on the table before
going to the bar. You have lots of choice Some of the prices on the bottled
beer menu are amazing; £60 for 3 Alesmith beers! So stick to the draught list; I had an Acorn Barnsley Bitter
at £3.95 a pint. Most of the other real ales were £4.15 a pint. Interesting
that 9 of the 10 real ales come from 2 breweries? Good atmosphere in the pub on
a relaxing Saturday afternoon.
John 9/10 visit July 2015
Always an interesting range of draught beers here, attracting beer geeks
from all over London. Prices for real ales range from £4.15 to £4.65 a pint.
Had a pint of Acorn Barnsley Bitter at £4.15 a pint. While this pub is called
the Cask, it is the original
Craft Beer Co pub!
John 9/10 visit July 2016
The pub has a Neptune takeover at the moment with all 10 beers on
handpump coming from this brewery. Friendly barman offers me samples. The
original Craft Beer Company pioneer pub. Had a pint of Neptune Mosaic Pale at
£4.55.

A Fullers Ale and Pie pub, which is close to Victoria station. The
landlord has won various awards for his cellar as seen behind the bar. The beer
standard is very high. Standard Fullers Ale and Pie décor. The pub was quiet on my visit on Saturday
afternoon. This pub was a former bank
which was turned into a pub in 1996. Fullers IPA was £3.25 a pint in September
2009, a pint of London Pride was £3.60 in September 2012. Good air conditioning
in the pub on a hot summers day, there is a small
courtyard out the back as well.
John 9/10 visit Sept 2012
Still the same. The pub has an upstairs seating area if busy. A pint of
London Pride was £4.05 a pint.
John 9/10 visit July 2015
Still the same Pie and Ale décor. Always a good pint of London Pride
here, at £4.30.

A London
Heritage Inn with a lot of original fittings, nice wood panelling even nicer
etched glass windows. It's been a pub since 1762. A pub a little on the small
side, but a nice cosy and relaxed atmosphere for the centre of town. Restaurant
upstairs. Reasonably priced Harveys, for the area and
Sharp’s Coaster was £3.20 a pint. Open 12-00 to 18-00 on Saturdays, closed
Sundays
John 8/10 visit March
2010
Still the same. Now owned by Greene King. A pint of Hanlon Firefly ( a low strength beer ) was very expensive at £4.60; while I
know this is St James’s, at the nearby Fullers pub the beer is £4.15 a pint. A big mark up. Closes at 1700
Saturday and all day Sunday.
John 8/10 visit July 2015
Not much has changed since my last visit. A pint of St Austell Liquid
Sunshine was £4.30; while a weak beer, the prices are a little down on my last
visit.

This is a small
pub which gets popular in the evening. There's a small island bar, surrounded
by magnificent mirrors, engraved glass and well-polished wood panelling. You
need to sit in the back of the pub, to get best affect. The décor is well worth
the price of admission, a pint. Now owned by Fullers since my last visit. This
gem of a pub is under good ownership, but now lacks a choice of beers. My first
taste of Bengal Lancer (£3.40 a pint) was excellent. Three bar staff for a
small pub means there is no waiting for your drink! Closed Sundays.
John 9/10 visit
March 2010
Still the same. Beware of low beams and steep steps down to the toilets! London Pride
was £4.15 a pint. Closed on Sunday.
John 8.5/10 visit July 2015
Still the same. This small pub is
more busy than when I usually visit. A pint of London
Pride is £4.50.

A pub which has stocked a great section of
real ales for at least 35 years, the beers are always well-kept. Good
atmosphere, wooden floors, etc. Only minus point is the new dining area at the
back (with no one in) which means less room for drinkers. All more people
drinking outside, than in. Sambrooks Wandle Ale was £3.10 a pint in March 2010, Sharp’s Doombar was £3.70 in pint in August 2012. Capital Pub
Company is now own by Greene King.
John 9/10 visit August 2012
This pub is special to me as when I was
living in London in the 70's and 80's it was one of the few real ale outlets. A
great meeting place frequented by students and local business people. There is
plenty of seating outside in the Summer. Large paintings adorn the walls and
there is now a rear restaurant which was once a separate drinking area - shame.
None the less a great pub.
Stuart 9.5/10 visit Nov 2000
While the décor is the same, the pub is now
owned by Greene King ( after buying Capital Pub
Company). Was one of the few free houses
in London in the 1970s and 1980s. Eton Boatman was £3.95 a pint.
John 8.5/10 visit August 2015
Once an outstanding free house in the 1970s and 1980s, now a Greene King
pub. The décor remains the same and there are 6 real ales on draught. Had a
pint of Hop Stuff Porter at £4.45.

Nice pub close to
Gloucester Road tube station. The low ceiling, bare-brick wall and low lighting
give this place an almost country pub feel in the city. Pub is mainly full of
tourists. A Fullers pub with a few interest beers including one guest ale and
Sierra Nevada on draught, which is rare for London. I like the Hitchcock movie posters on one of
the walls. London Pride was £4.15 a pint.
John 8/10 visit April
2015
Cosy Fullers pub which is a quiet haven away from the parade of shops
and the busy Gloucester Road. A pint of London Pride was £4.40.

Lovely mews pub close to
the Royal Albert Hall and Imperial College with a good cosy atmosphere. A good
choice of 8 real ales, with 4 from regional breweries and 4 from
micro-breweries. The pub has an nice white ceiling
with an impressive chandeliers. Clientele on this Saturday afternoon is mainly
families and tourists. Nice find. Orkney Dark Island was £4.25 a pint

Fullers have got it just right. A Classic London pub!. The number of customers bears this out. It's jammed
full of pictures of Prime Ministers, snob screens, great beer (ESB and Pride),
a Thai restaurant (not like Pat Pong 1 though), happy punters and the
occasional blocked urinals. That reminds me once in 1980 ....... People often
spill onto the pavements summer nights'.
Stuart
9/10 visit Nov 2004
Wonderful London pub which has deservedly
won many awards, pictures of US presidents and British Prime Ministers on the
wall. There is also Churchill
memorabilia around the fireplace. An great atmosphere
even when crowded and some of the best Fullers in London. Impressive
decorations at Christmas time. This has
been a great pub for last 30 years. A pint of London Pride was £3.05 in October
2009, it is now £3.69 in March 2013 .
John 9.5/10 visit March 2013
Very much a local's pub with a great
atmosphere which reminds me of my local! Very comfortable seating and lively
happy atmosphere which made me feel very much at home. Photos, mugs and
figurines of Winston Churchill and a lovely well-lit up photo of him. Also large brass jugs, watering cans and wicker baskets
suspended from the ceiling. Huge bottles and plants on window sills. Very
friendly and mouse-like pub. The most wonderful conservatory I've ever seen is
in the Thai restaurant at the back of the pub. Gardeners-do not miss this- it
is like Kew Gardens Hothouse and you can touch the plants!!!
Sue 10/10 visit July 2001
Still the same. This pub
serves one of the best pints of London Pride in London. Full of tourists
looking for an authentic London pub experience! Busy at the weekend. A pint of
London Pride was £4.05 a pint.
John 9.5/10 visit May 2015
Lovely pub frontage; inside is nice as well. Busy as usual, but people
do move on, so you will get a seat eventually. London Pride is always good here
and is £4.20 a pint. Great beer, great pub.

Lovely genuine traditional pub of great
character, with wooden floorboards, seating and tables. 'Mind your head' as you
go through the different sections of the pub ( one
part is non-smoking) Food menu is on boards all around, but no one seems to be
eating at the moment. Secluded beer garden at the back, just carry on walking
passed the toilets to get to it. A good
range of beer are here now, I remember when it was just Charrington
IPA and Bass!
John 9/10 visit Oct 2009
A traditional pub with dark wood and very
small hatches between each section of the bars, like the Prince Alfred, but
unlike it there are exits to get out of each section without going through all
of it. Expensive but nice menu on boards. Excellent rang of foreign lagers
including Staropramen on draught. Sadly, toilets
quite unpleasant! But overall a nice ambience, especially in the 'Sherry Bar'
Sue 9.5/10 visit July 2001
Being refurbished in March 2013
Lost a bit of character
since it’s been refurbished, but still with a good atmosphere. Range of beers
is still good. Had a pint of Timothy Taylor Boltmaker
at £4.40 a pint; a good pint.
Joh n 8.5/10 visit May 2015
Still the same, but the toilets are upstairs now. Paying for your drinks
on plastic seems to be popular here. A pint of Robinsons Trooper was £4.50.

Small intimate up-market pub. With Red
upholstery seating around the side of the pub, with red cushions on them. Old
books above the window sills mirror with the name of the pub, and ceiling fans
all add to the laid-back atmosphere as well as not having any fruit machines or
music. If you go through the restaurant area there's more room to drink at the
back, as well as benches out front. Good range of malt whiskeys. Nice place.
Sharp’s Coaster was £3.00 a pint in October 2009, Sharp’s Doombar
was £3.90 in March 2013 .

An attractive up-market pub with helpful
Antipodean bar staff. Pink umbrellas at outside tables and pretty tubs of
plants. Grolsch very nice. Comfortable red upholstery

Coat of Arms on wall. Very relaxed place.
